Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is well-known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and the use of child victims in court settings. Professor Goodman is the author of numerous research publications as well as numerous grants to her name she is also the winner of numerous international and national awards. She has worked with various governments and agencies throughout the world regarding policies and studies on children as victims within the legal system. She currently acts as a advisor to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is also a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
