Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. Anna Gunn is an American actress. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock and Martha Bullock, respectively, on The Practice. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in Preparatory School, before her family moved to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. She was a student at Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna worked in Chicago's theatre for a number of years before trying out for film and TV roles. In 1992 Anna was offered her first big part in the role of Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. The actress continued to make appearances as an actor in handful of TV movies and shows like Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue until the late 90's when she was cast in a regular role in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler was on screen in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully was the Deadwood film and a few other films included her. Gunn also took to the stage to play in the David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in the podcast audio drama of four episodes called Numbered Days, which was launched in 2022. The love story with Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the story of Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and eventually its demise mirroring the same arc of Walter White's last years of his life.
